Mid-November 2017

I am writing this entry as I fight drowsiness and boredom.

Today, Montreal woke up to its first minus something of the season. May God protect us all. (I guess at this point, one can only hope for a merciful “best”.)

As the temperatures grow colder, jobs get even more monotonous, daylight becomes ephemeral and pessimism fights all possibility of amusement.

It is only mid-November now but by the time February sets foot in the city; some of us will opt for confinement while others (with a thicker skin) will fight fiercely for their right to live.

Ski resorts, ice castles or even poorly built snowmen. You name it.  Everybody knows creativity reaches its pick in times of distress.
